Welcome to the 16th City of Westminster (St Gabriel's) Scout Group, based in the heart of Pimlico. We are a mixed Group, open to both boys and girls. Our purpose is to promote the development of young people in Pimlico,  in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social, and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens, and as members of the local, national and international communities.

At the 16th City of Westminster we believe that our young people develop mose when they take part in an activity, when they are given responsibility, when they work in teams, when they take acceptable risks, and when they are left to think for themselves.

This is achieved through the provision of an exciting and adventurous programme of activitied based on The Scout Promise and Law, guided by adult leadership.

The 16th City of Westminster prides itself on being a forward looking and outgioing Group, that takes part in as many outdoor activities, camps, and residental experiences as possible.

The 16th City of Westminster is fortunate to be sponsored by St Gabriel's, Pimlico, a Church of England parish church, who provide us with a meeting place, financial assistance, and pastoral support. Please click on the link to visit their website www.stgabrielspimlico.com

Scouts
Scouts are aged between 10.5 and 14 years old. Outdoor activities feature prominently in the Scout Troop. Activities such as rock climbing, caving, gliding, and kite surfing are just some examples of some of the things you will get up to whilst in the Scout. The highlight of the Scout Troop is the regular (once a quarter) camping opportunities. Throughout the year, you will learn various skills, such as map reading, camp cooking and first aid in preparation for these camping experiences, which may also lead to you taking part on a international camp. It's not just all about outdoors and adventure. As a Scout, will also develop skills in all sorts of fields. Photography, amateur radio, and electronics are just some examples.
